Tools for engineers who care about what runs under the hood.
We engineer native, local-first macOS utilities and systems-level tools. No Electron bloat. Zero telemetry. Sub-20ms restoration loops. Designed from first principles for power users.
Aftur: The Workspace State Engine for macOS
Never shuffle windows across monitors again. Plug into your desk dock, unplug for a meeting, reconnect to a 5K display, and your entire workspace restores deterministically in 16ms.
Toggle between physical workstation setups to see sub-20ms deterministic window placement.
Direct CoreGraphics Quartz sandwich commit (`setSize` → `setPosition` → `raiseWindow`) finishes frame positioning before your monitor backlight turns on.
Dynamically re-aliases volatile WiFi and USB Continuity UUIDs so your iPad Sidecar layout always restores without manual re-pairing.
Zero telemetry. Zero phone-homes. Verified locally via public key cryptography and stored in the secure macOS Keychain.
The Grusk Engineering Pipeline
Focused software built for specific developer workflows. We release when it is fast, small, and robust.
Deterministic macOS workspace orchestrator. Multi-monitor window snapshots, browser tab injection, IDE internal split recovery, and stdio MCP server.
Native lightweight visualizer and topology graph for local Docker sockets and Colima runtimes. 0% CPU background daemon.
Zero-stdout Model Context Protocol runtime bridges for Claude Desktop, Cursor, and agentic coding pairs. Pure JSON-RPC framing.
How we build software at Grusk Labs
If a utility can be written in Swift and communicate with macOS WindowServer in 14 milliseconds, we will not accept a 400MB Electron app that takes 1.2 seconds to position a window. Software should feel like an extension of the silicon.
You pay once and you own the binary. There are no mandatory logins, no monthly subscriptions, and no background daemon checking if your credit card cleared every 72 hours. Our license keys are signed with Ed25519 and verified entirely offline on your Mac.
A window management tool has access to your window titles, open code files, browser tabs, and active directory paths. None of that information should ever touch the network. Grusk Labs tools have zero telemetry SDKs, zero analytics pings, and zero trackers.
Hardware is imperfect. DisplayPort hubs negotiate EDID at different speeds, Sidecar iPads disconnect when you move desks, and USB-C docks drop transiently during sleep. We build deep debouncing loops, composite identity fallbacks, and retry mechanisms so you never see your windows fly off into the void.
Grusk Labs is an independent, engineer-run software studio founded in 2026. Derived from the Nordic root for exploration and workshop experimentation, Grusk represents deliberate craft over venture-backed growth hacks. All software is published under proprietary, all-rights-reserved commercial licenses with generous offline evaluation tiers.
